These smoothies are the L.G.(low glycemic) Bluffin’ Muffin and the L.G.(low glycemic) Double Berry Burst. The low-glycemic smoothies are composed of easy-to-digest and high biological value protein, real fruit, dietary fiber, and all-natural ingredients that are converted to energy gradually by the body, and help to keep your blood sugar steady and your energy up. One 24-oz low-glycemic smoothie is equivalent to 4 carbohydrate exchanges, 4 protein exchanges, 1 fat exchange, and 1/3 to 1/2 dietary fiber daily needs based on the American Diabetes Association and American Dietetic Association Exchange Lists for Meal Planning. Because of these factors and its low glycemic index, the low-glycemic smoothie is considered to be a well-balanced diabetic liquid meal.
